Love these videos (especially the longer ones where you explain a lot)! I'm currently renovating my house that was built in 1908 room by room and was wondering if you had any tips/tricks to removing the old plaster and lathe? I've only renovated one room so far and demoing the plaster was the most soul sucking thing I've ever done

Jeff and Max thank you for sharing both of your talents with us. The transformations were beautiful. Also I have watched the movies in the background and they were great.

Beautiful. A lot of hard work went into this home and that is obvious.

Anyone else getting him talking extremely fast in this video? Playback speed is at normal and I even restarted my computer and everything but it won’t go away. Any ideas of how to get rid of it?

Thanks for putting in the prices, a lot of people don't like talking about money but it is one of the most important parts of a renovation.

damn Jeff you are the man! Nice work, you and Max make top notch videos. How long have you been doing this work and how long have you had your own company? Keep up the great videos, I have learned a lot.

Beautiful work on all those projects Jeff! The coiffured ceiling to hide the ducts, really 'popped' with that dark blue colour in the second house.Enjoyed this video!

Hi JeffFirst of all I would like to thank you for your great videos. They inspire me with great ideas. Second of all, how do you deal with asbestos problems during renovating houses in Canada? I am from Australia. Thanks, Majdi

I like the new format. The previous task-based videos were good but there's a lot of that content out there. The larger projects starting from demolition, showing the problem solving and design around the constraints is the most interesting part for me, more like This Old House (that's a good thing). I'm sure it's hard to interrupt paid work to film, but more highlights from different stages throughout the project would be great. That glass plate on the stairs just looked like a nightmare though, it doesn't look like it would help at all as a handrail. It seems unsafe if you tried to catch yourself if you slipped on the way down. But I guess if it passes code and the owner likes it...

I'm going to love these Reality Renovision episodes. 1 question... In the first house with the skinny staircase, why was the staircase not widened? People don't realize how difficult it is to get a patient down those stairs until they're confronted with the problem. If you're upstairs when there is an accident or an illness, consider the difficulty bringing down a patient on a gurney/stretcher. And the problem is even more exacerbated if you're hooked up to medical equipment and/or you're overweight, as is the average American. I love really old homes but those really narrow stairs can be a problem. And thanks for the video, guys.

Lathe and plaster ceiling is peeling. Painted it about 2 years ago. Used good paint with 2 coats. Replaced roof. Is it better to scrape off loose paint and repaint? Or do you think the attic above it is causing the problem?
