Best Tile Cutter for Any Type of Tile (Montolit Masterpiuma)

From Home Repair Tutor on Monday, February 5th, 2018 in , & Videos
What's the best tile cutter for a variety of tiles, e.g. ceramic, porcelain, and glass? We take a look at Montolit's Masterpiuma and do some demonstrations. This could be a game changer for you.
First, the Masterpiuma comes in a variety of sizes. We wanted the 25"x25" because it can cut 12"x24" tiles.
This could eliminate the use of a wet tile saw, which is a time saver.
Also the Masterpiuma can cut glass tiles with the use of the Mosakit rubber mat. The mat prevents glass tiles from slipping and the white paint from chipping.
We tested the cutting capability of this tile cutter and showed how it can cut a 1/4" slice off 2"x2" tiles as well as a 1/2" cut off 12" tiles.
It easily makes 45 degree cuts in tile.
Watch our video for the details.

Great vid, Jeff, especially the glass tile. I will be doing my kitchen backsplash in glass and might invest in this cutter.

Say your videos are amazing, do you know of a way to make a door sweeper, to block out the cool air, it's cold here and it got my mom very sick.

My suggestion, decide which size you want....and buy the next size up lol, I got the 29 thinking there's no way I'd need one any bigger, now I have a customer that wants 36" wood look plank in a shower!!!

I’m a Sigma guy. But I won’t lie, I saw this at my local distributor and it caught my attention. Has some weight to it, which I like. I think I just may grab one, based on your very informative review. Thx!

Or just buy a wet saw.

My daughter wants to install a back splash around her counter tops. I am really worried about how she was going to do it and thought she needed to rent a diamond cutter. Is this a tool that you can rent? She will only need to use it once.
